#34(&35)to40 - Time to CELEBRATE 🍾


So I missed yesterday... for many reasons I won't go into, but one I feel I have to share, especially as it ties in for today's theme of "Time to CELEBRATE 🍾" And the Harry's have certainly had much to celebrate in the last few days😍💕😉

What with a birth of a beautiful and precious new baby girl - the first Harry girl born in 27 years - and the big sister of her generation, and today a 50th birthday celebration of an amazing sister and special soul, there is definitely much to be celebrating 🍾 As much as this countdown has been a celebration of sorts of its own kind, what I have learnt in my life is that things are almost always better when shared.. including and definitely celebrating!

Most who have come to know me and interact with me especially over the last few years have always marvelled at my ability to observe milestones and special days... as I have shared repeatedly no matter how big or small the wins are, it's so important to acknowledge and honour them! If anything, I hope my crazy obsession with living and celebrating life to the fullest has somehow inspired you in your own life 😜😉😎

So whatever you're doing this weekend, take some time out and look at the week and month passed by and give yourself a huge and massive pat on the back for your own wins - big or small and celebratein your own way.. whether it's an awesome bubble bath, or walk on the beach or in your neighbourhood, meeting up with a friend or special one, indulging in an extra cup of coffee or hot chocolate or that glass of champers, just do it and make some time 😍🍾💞
 
Even better, acknowledge or identify someone else you know who's done something awesome and amazing and let them know about and celebrate with them 💐🧁🥂

Okay, I hope I've said and shared and written enough to have inspired you to go forth and festively feast 🍾🥂💫 Oh and in case you didn't get that - CELEBRATE YOU and your YOUNeSs and life and existence and the awesomeness that only YOU can bring into the world 😉 😜 😎

P.s. and hopefully we will have more to celebrate after the big SA/Tonga Rugby World Cup clash on Sunday 🏉 💫🇿🇦🎉🇹🇴  Enjoy the weekend everyone 🤗

Just because I haven't been posting doesn't mean that the countdown hasn't still been pursued 💫🦋🌞 I hope as I share on how to put things into perspective you also take some time out to realise that sharing and "living" for social media is not ideal.. Nothing is as sobering as realising that someone you've known your whole life and so intimately won't live through another sunset yet alone a sunrise or anything else... Death is sobering and something so few talk abo...

#2to40 - Two is better than one...

Two is better than one they often say, or as per the Afghan quote "two are better than one, and three than two." Countless quotes, proverbs and sayings talk about two being better than one and maybe one of my favourites is from Ecclesiastes 4 9:10 in the Bible that says "Two are better than one... for if they fall, one will lift up the other." As my countdown starts nearing completion with 2 days to go until I officially celebrate my 40th birthday, it would be remiss of me to not celebrate a very big, important and significant part of my life - my siblings ... I am blessed with not just one, but 6 siblings... how the makeup exists is not important - but I am grateful every day that I am blessed with not just the "two is better than one" scenario or three is better than two.. but 6 - which to me is wayyyyyy better than any of the aforementioned! #1 You are invited...

Many of you may have journeyed with me through my various jlogging  adventures (journal blogging for those newbies - you will realise I am a great maker-up of words, especially those ending with "ness" that I like to think I've somehow coined!) ...
